Math Intervention is a support program to remediate gaps of missing concepts, prepare for STAAR, and to assist children who need more one on one focus on math. Students will be pulled from their elective class, Advisory (Grade 6) and/or Study Skills (Grade 7 and 8) on an “as needed” basis. I will begin pulling students the second week of school based on last yearís STAAR results and teacher recommendations. Within every 6 week period, the students will have an in-class assessment to see how he/she is progressing. My goal is to bridge any gaps a student may have and return the student back to their elective as soon as possible. I will also use the Beginning of Year assessment to determine if there are any gaps.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child's math teacher or myself.
